“Are you okay? Do you feel uncomfortable?” Melon looked at Holden and blinked in confusion.
Ariana couldn’t help laughing. She also spoke, imitating Melon. “Yeah, why did you cough so much? Are you choking?”
Holden glanced at her speechlessly. He said, “No.”

Melon cut in, “Mommy, I already told you it was because you and Mitchel talked too much.”
Ariana laughed again. While looking at Holden, she asked deliberately, “Is that true, Holden?”
Holden’s face flushed slightly. He wasn’t sure if it was because of the coughing or embarrassment. He glanced at Ariana and said through clenched teeth, “Of course not.”
“But you don’t seem like that,” Melon said seriously.
Holden’s face flushed even more. He wanted to make Melon shut up but couldn’t do anything.
Ariana couldn’t stop herself from laughing when she saw Holden’s expression.
The three of them chatted and laughed happily all the way to their house. When Ariana got out of the car, she was surprised to see a luxury car parked outside. While she was wondering whose car it could be, the car door opened, and Sadie stepped out from the back seat with Adele.
For a moment, the air around them seemed to freeze.
They looked at each other, but no one said a word.
